iPad Mini MDM Provisioning Guide
This guide will assist with setup of MDM on the iPad mini utilizing the Macintosh Mini desktop PC.
Hardware Setup

Connect workstation (keyboard, mouse, ethernet, 2x lightning cables or USB hub) to Mac Mini

Check iPad for cracks – ensure device has battery life at 50% or higher.

Plug device(s) into lightning cable or into a USB hub.
- Each device plugged in will appear onscreen – Select each device that needs provisioning using the shift+click method.
- At the top of the screen, select ‘Prepare.’
- The prepare devices dialogue box will appear. Ensure that ‘Apple School Manager or Apple Business Manager’ is checked – click Next to continue.

Enroll in MDM Server Box dialogue box will appear. Ensure that ‘Apple DEP’ is listed as the server. Click Next to continue.
If this option does not show, please contact the system administrator for further assistance.
- Assign to Organization dialogue box will appear. HealthDrive Corporation should appear under Organization – click Next to continue.
- The Configure iOS Setup Assistant dialogue box will appear. These fields are populated automatically – click Next to continue.

Network Profile dialogue box will appear. This information has been previously configured and the profile highlighted should indicate hd.wifi.profile.mobileconfig. Click Next to continue.
If this option does not show, please contact the system administrator for further assistance.
- Select ‘Prepare’ to continue.
- All configurations will be prepared and sent to the devices. Once complete verify with the system administrator that they can see all devices on their end.
